Triple Knot Ponytail

Hello my friends,

Thank you for all the views on my new YouTube video, and for the new likes on my Facebook page.  I love getting to share "good hair days" with my friends around the world.

Today I tried something completely new and different, and really liked it.  I made a feathered mohawk French braid, and gathered my hair into a low ponytail.  Then, I knotted my ponytail three times, which brought the length up from ankle to just above knee.  I clipped each knot with a small hair clip to keep the knots from coming undone during the day.  What a fun way to wear my hair in a "loose" ponytail.  I love it <3

Knotted Headband Braid

Hi everybody,

Today I tried again to do the "take-2-strands-and-knot-them" braid, and I actually managed to make this braid as a headband.  Why is it that knotting 2 strands can be so much harder than braiding four or five strands?  I added the smaller French braid for interest.  Thank you for following my hair posts!

(but more in keeping with the actual temperature here...)

Knot Now

Hi friends,

Yesterday I started off with a one-strand pretzel knot on one side, brought it over into a two-strand rosette knot on the other side, made a third knot at the bottom, then a low bun.  An easy updo that doesn't require braiding :-)

A hibiscus in our yard had the most unusual two-in-one flower, and it just matched my dress!

Knotted Updo

 Hello friends,

Thank you so much for all the views and comments on my latest length pictures~ I'm so happy to share these pictures with my on-line friends!  Here are some of my hairstyle for today~ I made a few two-strand knots across the top, then loosely tied the strands together.  For my bun, I made many one-strand knots and pinned them in place with bobby pins:

1-Strand Knot Braid & Big Bun

Hi friends,

Happy Easter!  Yesterday I tried out a 1-strand pretzel knot braid that I learned from my new braid book.  I like the look of these knotted braids that she demonstrates so clearly.  They are fun!  My bun is basically loops and rolls piled together.  This is one of my favorite recent hairstyles, I think :-)
