Tropical Big Bun Hairstyle

Hi everyone,

     This morning I made two tiny side French braids and a smooth center mohawk, then put my hair into a ponytail which I wrapped up into a big bun.  Since the dress I was wearing has a tropical flare, I suppose this updo could be called my Tropical Big Bun Hairstyle :-)

3-minute hairstyle~ perfect for a rainy day

Hello everyone,

Today I fixed my hair in a simple updo that takes less than three minutes to create.  First I made a tiny French braid on either side, then put my hair in a low ponytail and a bun.  Ta-da, I'm done and ready to start the day!  It was actually drizzling slightly when we took pictures, and you can see clouds over the mountain in the background.  A grey, rainy island day~ still beautiful as always.

Thank you so much for all the views and comments on my new hairstyle video!  How exciting to see that my Youtube channel has passed 900 subscribers.  Yesterday I tried to do a look I saw on Facebook, but ended up making a hairstyle of my own.  I'll have to study the technique I was aiming at a little more before I can do that particular look, but even so I like the way this hair'do turned out.
     I made an off-centered part, then braided a tiny lace braid on one side.  I gathered hair from the side closest to my face for a few times, then switched and added hair to the opposite side of my lace braid (this hair came from the side closest to my center part).  You can probably tell better from the pictures what I did.  Then I put my hair into a big low bun, and was satisfied (of course that is the most important and difficult step in any hairstyle! :-)

Micronesian Girl~ See-Thru French Braid

Hi everybody,

It's been a while, but I have another lovely Micronesian Girl hairstyle to share with you.  My friend's teenage daughter braided her hair in a new style I've only just now seen.  The sections to the French braid are tiny, and a lot of hair is left loose underneath, only added in at the very end to the braid tails.  Such a pretty version of a French braid!  Aren't the sections delicate and perfectly even!
