Shabby-Chic Dutch Braids

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a wonderful and relaxing week-end.  Today I fixed my hair in two Dutch braids that I pulled on to give the blossom effect.  It's funny how you can actually put effort into making a hairstyle appear messy~ shabby chic, perhaps?

Dutch Rainbow Braid

Hello friends,

Today I fixed my hair in two Dutch braids then braided the length of my hair in a pull-through braid using rainbow-colored elastics.  I love pull-through braids, they always look nice and don't get messy or fuzzy as the day goes by.
Thank you for following my hair posts!  I hope you have a beautiful week.

Dutch braid and little white dress, a favorite combination

Hello friends,

Thank you for following my blog and Facebook page. How wonderful to be able to share hair pictures with friends around the world. Today I wore my new dress and paired it with a Dutch braid. I love both!

Dutch Blossom Braids

Hello friends,

Today I fixed my hair in one of my favorite styles, three Dutch blossom braids.  I love this look!  In case you're wondering what a blossom braid is, I explain in this YouTube video.
Thank you for following my blog, and an extra-special thank you to everyone who helped me pass 1,000 page-likes on Facebook <3  I love sharing hair pictures with my friends from around the world.  Thank you for each comment, like, and share.

Dutch Braids with Rosette Accents

Hello everyone,

Today I braided my hair in two blossom-Dutch braids and added three small braid rosettes as accents.  I have seen variations of this look on the internet, and wanted to try it out myself.  My hair is still extra-soft from the hair mask treatment I used a few nights ago~ so easy to mix together and always has such fabulous results <3

Dutch braid in the evening light

Hello friends,

We managed to take hair pictures in the evening light before the sun completely set~ a blossom-Dutch braid with a braided bun was my look for today.  I love the way a Dutch braid looks so full and lacey when you slightly tug on the sides to give it the blossom effect.  You can see how I do this in my last YouTube video.
And speaking of YouTube, I saw the best cartoon ever tonight and found the link so I could share it with you.  You may have seen it already, the Pixar short film "Lava."  It is so sweet, and the scenery looks just like our islands <3
