Blue Lace Updo

Hi everyone,

     Yesterday I fixed my hair in two lace braids and a French braid, and put the length of my hair into a braided bun.  I pulled on sections of the braid to give my bun a loose, poofy look.  Coming up with a new name for a hairstyle can be difficult sometimes, but since I was wearing my favorite color and had lace braids~ Blue Lace Updo it is :-)

Clear Blue Sky hairstyle

Hi everyone,

The sky was such a beautiful clear blue today, I tried to take hair pictures using it as the background.  A little different angle than usual was needed to get the sky in the same picture :-)
     In case you are wondering, I made one finger-crochet braid in the middle and secured it with bobby pins.  It looks rather like a mohawk braid.  I took a strand of hair from one side and wrapped it up and over the top bobby pin that was holding my crochet braid.  Then I did the same thing with a single strand of hair from the opposite side.  The effect looks like my hair is folded and tucked in place.

(And such an amazing sight to see yesterday)

Blue Sky Braids

You've probably noticed, blue seems to be my favorite color :-)  Today I made two horizontal lace braids and a side-swept braided ponytail.  Well, I call it a ponytail because it is looser than a side bun.  I like for my hair to be seen from the front for a change rather than always from the back.  Thanks so much for coming by to see my new pictures!  I hope you have a wonderful day.

 

 

 

Fancy Four-strand Updo

Hello friends,

Today I made a four-strand French/Dutch braid, with two small accent braids on either side.  I wrapped all my braids into a big low bun, held in place with hairclips and bobby pins.  I like the way four-strand braids are French on one side and Dutch on the other, a fun combination of looks.  Thank you for following my blog!
