'Happy Easter' Hairstyle

Happy Easter, my friends!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter Sunday with family and friends.  Our island Easter was full of love and beautiful flowers :-)  I fixed my hair in two French braids, one slightly smaller than the other, and an accent chain braid, then a braided side bun held in place with tiny colorful clips to match my dress.  Thank you for following my hair posts!  Remember to visit my Facebook page if you haven't yet.

4 Rope Braids, 1 Updo

Yesterday I braided my hair in 4 rope braids and added a side bun.  I guess you already know I like rows of braids :-)  And lace rope braids are so easy to make!  In fact I made my very first YouTube video showing how I make them.  Thank you for following my posts, I hope you have a beautiful day and stay safe <3

Double Side Buns

Hello everyone,

Today I did a quick hairstyle that only took a few minutes to do, two side buns one on top of the other.  A little bit different from other double bun hairstyles that I have tried in the past.  I love the afternoon light, a golden glow that needs no extra filter for effect.  Thank you for coming to see my new posts!  And how exciting that my Facebook page has passed 900 page-likes.  Maybe soon I'll reach 1,000!

 

French braid and rope braid combo~ my look for today

Hi everyone,

     After my absolute favorite short hairstyle from yesterday, I washed my hair last night.  I used vanilla-scented monoi oil instead of coconut oil before washing my hair, and this morning my hair was still rather damp.  But that was okay, because I was able to make this French braid and rope braid combination, always a nice choice for any occasion...even an ordinary Thursday :-)

Modern Braided Hairstyle

Hi friends,

     Today I tried to fix my hair in a modern look to match the pattern of my dress.  My side braid is actually a French loop braid, but it looks more like a 5 or 6 strand Dutch braid because I did not pull on the loops to make them stand out from my braid.  I put the rest of my hair into a side ponytail which I then braided in a long rope braid.  I wrapped my rope braid up into a bun.  Then I took the length of my French braid and wrapped it around the outside of my bun.  My hair is held in place with bobby pins and a single hair-clip on one side.
