Palm trees and white roses~ my Christmas mohawk hairstyle

     I waited to take hair pictures in the afternoon sun; the light made the white roses and green palm trees look so beautiful against the blue sky.  What a lovely scene this week of Christmas <3
     To make this hairstyle, I started by putting my hair in the beginning stages of a pull-through braid.  But instead of making the length of my braid a pull-through, I made two rope braids, wrapped them together to make a double-rope braid, then clipped this thick rope braid around my three pull-through sections.  My hair has been securely held in place all day long!

Fold-over French brainds

Hello everyone,

Today I made two slightly diagonal French braids, first one braid then the next.  They look like they have been folded over each other.  This is a fun way to avoid an obvious center part!  Wimsey wanted to get in on the picture taking, as you can see :-)

Today I made a simple French braid headband with a slightly-messy braided bun~ "messy" because I made my bun without looking in a mirror using the only bobby pins and hair clips I had at the time. I was in my office at the time~

Double French Braids Bun

Hi everybody,

I got to watch the second Hobbit movie last week (I loved it, btw!)  For some reason, my hairstyle today ended up reminding me of a dwarf-beard braid combination :-)
